Recipem8 ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to the Recipem8 website and iOS app.

Information we collect

Account details - your name and email address, used to create and secure your account.
Your content - recipes you add, notes, favourites, collections and any profile photo you upload.
Payment information - handled entirely by our payment providers (Stripe on the web, Apple In-App Purchase on iOS). We never see or store your full card details.
Basic technical data - standard log and device information needed to operate the service securely.

How we use it

To provide the app: sign-in, your library, favourites, notes and membership access.
To process membership payments and prevent fraud.
To respond to support requests and send essential account emails (for example, invitations, verification and password resets).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

AI features

When you use AI Chef, the text of your request is sent to our AI provider solely to generate a response. We do not send your account identity beyond what is needed to serve the request.

Data storage

Your data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) using access controls that restrict each account to its own data. Payment processing is performed by Stripe and Apple.

Your rights

Access & update - view and edit your profile in the app at any time.
Deletion - you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Profile → Settings → Delete account. This removes your login and your content.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

Recipem8 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date.
